The lab conducts paleontological resource assessments for projects in the planning stage to identify potentially significant fossil resources which may be impacted by proposed project activities.
Paleontological Resource Impact Mitigation
The lab provides mitigation plan development, professional paleontological monitoring and associated services for projects identified as potentially impacting significant fossil resources in the central region of California.
The Paleontology Lab is equipped with a SWAM Blaster microabrasive unit, ergonomic work chamber, dust collector, a size range of airscribes, and other tools and materials for fossil preparation, conservation, molding and casting.
